How to Pack for a One Day Trip
Packing for a day travel can be tricky. We’re used to loading our essentials and packing whatever can fit in that suitcase in case we need it during our travel. But a one day trip requires lightweight pack so that it’s easier to move and enjoy the day with it on our backs. That’s why you need our one day trip packing list. You want to have your essentials but not feel overloaded with too many items.

So I was packing the other day and thinking what should I bring with me on this one-day travel journey. I divided the items into categories and made a one day packing checklist, so check it up and feel free to add to the list what you think necessary.
One day trip packing list
To be honest, it was hard to fit my stuff into one small bag and figuring out what I will need during this one day adventure, I’m used to 7 days trip and so. But I figured out the basis of packing and preparing for this kind of short trips. First, you check the weather of your destination, to know what to wear, and what if you might need an umbrella or extra clothes for changing during the day (and if it was a beach destination).
Entertainment on a day trip

The big advantage of taking a day vacation is you don’t have to pack luggage. Mostly, you can just take off with the clothes you have on. However, there are some considerations you should do about the weather, length of the journey, the destination itself and thus, you’ll know what to take with you.
books: Whether you’re traveling alone or with a group, you would enjoy the company of a good book during the trip to your destination.
Camera: A camera is an essential item whenever we travel or go out.
Food Packing for a Day Trip

Water: Make sure to pack one bottle of water for each individual you’re traveling with. We already tried one or two large bottles and it wasn’t enough.
Snacks: Snacks are my favorite trip companion, I might not pack anything but I can’t dismiss FOOD. I usually pack individual serving size snacks so it’s easier for all to take a snack on their hands through the day.
Consider some crackers, cut veggies like carrots and celery with fresh, dry fruits, and nuts.
Avoid melting snacks like chocolate otherwise, you should eat ’em first thing after you take off.
Basic packing for a day trip
You needn’t forget your credit card, driver’s license, ID, tickets, insurance, copies of all that, and cash.
Self & Health Care

Sunscreen and sunglasses with a protective brim hat are essentials even if it’s cold and snowing on where you’re heading.
If you’ll be spending time on the beach or it’s a hot weather destination, you should wear SPF protective clothes or long sleeves, don’t forget an SPF lip balm too. There’s no wrong of taking caution.
For the Health you need tissues, wet wipes, hand sanitizer. These are basics for if you catch a sneeze, want to wash your hands or wipe a shoe. It makes sense.

You might also want extra socks and alternative shoes or sandals to avoid swollen feet if you have a lot of walking during the day.
